How To Put Videos On PSP In 4 Simple Steps

Sony's little wonder machine is a real jack of all trades in the electronic entertainment field-there really isn't too much that it can't do but I've noticed that out of all my friends that have PSP's, not one person uses it for movies! I found this a little odd, until I realised that none of them know how to do it! It's not as hard as people seem to think so hopefully once you've read this article you'll know how to put videos on PSP, and I can get my friends to look at this article instead of asking me questions all the time!

The first thing that stops most people from finding out how to put videos on PSP is they don't have enough free memory-You are going to need to buy as big a memory stick as you can afford-512mb is going to be the bare minimum here.

New Electronic

The second essential is to have a computer handy which you can link to the PSP via a USB cable. An internet connection will be useful too, but is not essential unless there are things you need to download.

How To Put Videos On PSP In 4 Simple Steps

1-Connect the computer and the PSP together, making sure that the PSP is switched off to begin with, and switch the PSP on once the connection is made.

2-With the PSP go into the SETTINGS menu, and press X, which should link the PSP to the computer. If you then go into MY COMPUTER on the computer, you should see an extra volume has been attached. This is the PSP/Playstation Portable.

3-Open the PSP memory card and then open the folder called PSP. With this open you need to create another folder inside that one, this one called "MP_ROOT" and then another one called "100mnv01"

4-Save the movies you want to watch in the folder "100mnv01" and then you are ready to rock! The movies can be started by clicking on the saved image inside the memory card. One thing to note though is that the movies need to be in MP4 format (Google it), and if you want to convert your existing DVDs etc to this format you may want to get some specialized software.

Don't Buy Solar Panels For Sale - Here's a Better Solution For Solar Power

Each month, as people receive their electric bill, many contemplate turning to solar panels to reduce this utility cost. Some people are literally paying over half the amount of their house payment to the electric company. Solar panels are an investment in your home that you should definitely consider, but when you look at the cost of solar panels for sale, you may think you can't afford it. There is a better solution for solar power.

How to Build Your Own Solar Panel

Save Order

A typical solar panel installed on your home will average in cost between - a watt. That means that one solar panel that produces 100 watts of electricity will run you about 0-900! While solar panels for sale are around - per watt, installation brings that price up quite quickly. It just makes good financial sense to build your own.

Don't Buy Solar Panels For Sale - Here's a Better Solution For Solar Power

Anyone who is rather handy and motivated can do it. The cost is about 0 and you can control the size of the panel so it fits where you have the space. Your first step should be a detailed, yet easy to understand, manual. Don't get the first one you come across. Do a little research and if you can find one with videos, that's even better.

The building supplies are next and you may be surprised to find most of them at your local hardware store: plywood, a roll of copper wire, and sheets of glass. The solar panel cells, also called photovoltaic cells, can be found at a local retailer or online.

Finally, it will take about a day to assemble a 100-watt panel, which can produce enough electricity to operate a small appliance. If you are building one for the first time, you may want to work on it over a long weekend. Once you get the first one done, the rest are easier and can be hooked together.

A Final Thought

There you have. It's much easier than you might think and a lot less expensive to build your own solar panel. The solar panels for sale commercially may be for some people, but for others, they are simply too expensive. Start lowering your electric bill with a homemade solar panel and keep some of that utility bill money for something else!

Loan Modification Program - How to Speed Up the Process and Save Your Home

The use of a loan modification program has become almost a necessity these days in order for a growing number of American home owners to even have a chance at staying in their homes and avoid foreclosure. The poor economy has hit countless families so fast and so hard that they are unable to properly prepare and try to even negotiate with the bank in order to lower their payments and a loan modification with the right company can help with this. This is why if you are in danger of having your home foreclosed on then you need to do whatever it takes to make the process of a loan modification go much quicker so that you stand a chance.

This is going to require some organization and planning ahead on your part in order to make sure that you are fully prepared to go through this process. Do whatever you can and try to think ahead for things that would be requested from you so that you have them ready. Some of the more common things a loan modification program specialist will need when talking to the bank are below. the quicker you provide them the faster the process will go.

Save Order

#1 Make sure you have accurate records. You are going to be required to fill out some pretty extensive paperwork when attempting to get a loan modification and whatever you do you must not put anything off until tomorrow.

Loan Modification Program - How to Speed Up the Process and Save Your Home

#2 Keep together and organize all of your financial records. This covers everything from monthly bills to pay stubs. Going through the financial worksheet they provide you with can easily have you confused and scrambling all over you home in a effort to find the information you are required to have. having it before you are asked to provide it will be a huge time saver and well as simply make your life easier.

#3 Do not be afraid to add too much information to your application. While it may be very time consuming to do, the more you provide both your loan modification specialists and the bank the less likely there will be something down the road you will be requested to provide.

if you want to have any chance at keeping your home you are going to need to start the loan modification process as soon as you realize that you are having financial trouble and that if things continue the way they are you will be unable to keep up with your mortgage payments.

Recently a survey was carried out to find our why so many people were being refused the right to join a loan modification program. The banks said in over 90% of cases this was because of failure to fill out paperwork correctly or return it in time to prevent foreclosure. If you are at risk do not let this happen to you and get help right away to keep your home.

How to Keep Your Head in the Clouds

We were on a family vacation to India and doing a tour of the state of Rajasthan this past year. Those tombs and forts built by the Shahs and Rajas of old were quite impressive! They did all that planning with pen, paper and some basic hand tools - no computer generated imagery, no electricity, no power tools were used yet, the splendor of these places was breath-taking! Even more astounding was learning about ancient Indian astronomy that dates back over 4000 years! The modern day big-bang theory and many other astronomical sciences were birthed in ancient India. They build huge observatories in major cities in order to study the movement of heavenly bodies and used complicated mathematics to figure out movement, relative speed, directions - it's pretty amazing!

Now, what does this have to do with business? As a famous writer once said, "whatever the mind of man can conceive, it can achieve." These people had imaginations and dreams as big the universe itself - that's why they were able to accomplish so much - no, they were not built by aliens from another planet as some would have us believe.

Save Order

Napoleon Hill talks about this sort of stuff in his chapter on imagination. Two types of imagination - the Synthetic and the Creative. Synthetic Imagination is simple: it is taking old ideas, concepts and plans and re-arranging them into something new. Kind of like taking someone else's work, making changes to it and claiming it as your own. In the academic world, they call this "plagiarism" (sounds like a disease, doesn't it?) but I like to think of it as learning from the masters how to do something and adding your own twist. I like it when people "steal" my ideas and put them to good use. It makes me feel like I've done somebody some good in this world.

How to Keep Your Head in the Clouds

The other is Creative Imagination. This one is my personal favorite because I've always been a day-dreamer. For me, it's communicating with God and with the spirits of other people in my life. The hunches, the gut-level feelings you can't explain. It's also what lead the ancient astronomers to build their incredible obeservatories. My greatest memory of using creative imagination saved my life during a particularly painful time when I was recovering from suicidal depression. It was a period of time when I walked around in a half-daze most of the time, I couldn't focus on anything or remember anything and the world looked dark. I almost didn't survive. One day, I heard a voice talking to me. It was not a voice of anyone I recognized and there was nobody around. The voice told me that things would not always be so bad - to hang on by the skin of my teeth if I had to because things will get better. To this day I believe it was the voice of God Himself and those words sustained me for the next several years of my upward battle against depression.

When the two types of imagination are combined - the result is formidable. You can use it to do accomplish anything you desire - rise out of poverty, help others rise out of poverty, save a life, build a life. I believe that because I believe God created us in His image - to dream and accomplish more than we ever thought possible.

Types of Rats

Rats are rodents that belong to the Rattus genus of the family Muridae. These are the most dominant species on earth. There are several species of rats in the world. Most rodents are herbivorous, but some are omnivorous. In general, there are two basic types of rats. They are black or roof rats and Norway or brown rats. Both are thought to have originated in Asia and are now widely distributed throughout the world.

The brown rat, which is also known as the Norway rat, house rat, gray rat, barn rat, and wharf rat, is one of the best-known and is the larger of the two. Their scientific name is Rattus norvegicus. They are mostly grayish-brown, with a lighter colored stomach. A fully-grown brown rat is 18 to 26 cm long and weighs between 400 and 600 gm. They have a tail shorter than its body and their nose and muzzle are blunt. They prefer moist conditions and nest in deep burrows.

New Electronic

Roof rats (Rattus Rattus) are also called black rats and ship rats. They are usually black, slender, 16-21 cm long and weigh about 80-300 gram. Their tail is longer than the head and body and their nose and muzzle are pointed. As the name suggest, roof rats are climbers. Their paws enable them to climb and build nests in upper parts of dwellings, attics, rafters and crossbeams of buildings.

Types of Rats

These rats breed when they are three to four months of age. They breed 1 to 13 times a year and produce 1 to 22 in a litter. Black rats and brown rats eat about the same things. Their diet typically includes seeds, nuts, grains, vegetables, fruits, cereals, meats and invertebrates. They consume about one-third of their weight in food every 24 hours.

They carry lethal diseases, damage structures and contaminate food. Some of the diseases potentially fatal to man that spread through rats are Weil's disease, plague, salmonella food poisoning and toxoplasmosis.

Types of Rats

Rats provides detailed information on Rats, Rat Terrier, Pet Rats, Rat Snake and more. Rats is affiliated with Electronic Pest Control.

Ten Simple Ways to Save the Tigers

Scared, lonely, sad and hungry, jumping at the smallest sound, waiting for his mommy to come back. But maybe she is not coming back. Save our tigers, there are just 1411 - is the tagline of the video being telecast on television all over India.

Looking at the young two months old cub waiting for his mommy in the cave was really touching as he looked lost, alone with no one to console him just like an orphan, who has no idea where to go, whom to go and how to survive. People involved in saving our tigers are urging to use social media to create awareness among each other. So here are ten steps to stop the dwindling population of tigers in India.

Save Order

1. Create awareness

Ten Simple Ways to Save the Tigers

Anyone and everyone can help if they put their mind to it. So make posters, fliers, shout it out from the roof tops, spread a word; in other words create awareness about the importance of tigers on the planet. Organise birthday parties with tiger theme, parents can take the children to zoo for more information on tigers.

2. Educate the locals

People living near the forests need to be educated about the importance of tigers in terms of ecosystem. They need to be told that if there will be no tigers there will be no forests as all the grass eaters will devour the forests.

3. Stop poaching and don't encourage poachers

Sale of tiger skin and other body parts is banned. So if you find somebody hunting tigers, report them to your local police station or even the forest officials. They will take care of the poachers.

4. Support a cause

Join a cause for tigers. You can join save our tigers and support them by blogging, or by making posters, sending fliers among other things. You can also organise a tiger sale and donate the money to the cause.

5. Severe punishment for poachers

Ensure that the poachers are not allowed to go easily. Make sure that they receive severe punishment for their crime.

6. Ban the goods made of tiger skin

Please do not use goods made of tiger skin. Also please don't use the medicine made out of tiger's body parts. On an average one wild tiger is killed each day for profit killing.

7. Protect forests

In order to save tigers forests need to be protected. Apparently the species are becoming extinct because of the loss of their natural habitat.

8. Take an eco tour

An eco tour that focuses on tigers can be beneficial in making people understand the importance of tigers. Also the money made out of these tours can help in convincing government that tigers can be profitable.

9. Support accredited zoos and wildlife sanctuaries

You can also support various accredited zoos and wildlife sanctuaries in your area. They are active in research and conservation programmes with some of the zoos involved in captive breeding of tigers

10. Donate money to tiger conservation organisations

You can also donate some amount to tiger conservation organisations who are constantly striving to fund money for their research as well as educational programmes on tigers.

These are few of the ways that you can save the tigers from becoming extinct. There were eight species of tigers on the planet earth. However, three of them are already extinct save the rest five. The three species that are extinct now are Bali tigers, Javan tigers and Caspian tigers.

Where Can You Buy iPads For Cheap?

Are you looking where you can buy iPads for cheap? If so, this article will mention where you can find iPads cheaper than normal retail prices. iPads have become the most trendy of the modern computer tablet devices and have renowned popularity with the people who own them.

But who carries iPads, and is it possible to buy iPads for cheap? Yes, it is possible to get iPads cheaper than retail prices, but first you should know what you want your iPad to do and the general price range your willing to spend.

Save Order

There are two basic ways that you can buy nowadays and they are off-line and on-line. It's no surprise that buying on-line has become more fashionable and modern than buying off-line, especially when it concerns cutting edge electronics such as iPads.

Where Can You Buy iPads For Cheap?

However if you are thinking about going to a store in your town you should first at least consider the different options you have in both the off-line and off-line worlds and what they offer.

Off-line / physical retail store prices start at 0 - ,000+ for an iPad.

By going to a physical store such as a Best Buy, RadioShack, or Wal-Mart you have the opportunity to see a product with your own eyes and it and take it home with you that very day. However by going this route you will be paying top dollar for a new product line that will be selling for premium retail prices.

Also the store will most likely have a limited selection and not much information to choose from for a smarter buy like you could do online. Additionally physical retailers may or may not have a certain product line or a specific model in stock because of its popularity in demand, especially as with cutting edge electronic devices like the iPad. If you are looking to by cheap iPads you wont find them at any retail stores

On-line retailers and dealers can start from under 0 for an iPad.

The reasons why purchasing virtually has become more common as compared to going to a physical store and buying it is obvious. By going to reputable online stores you can select from a range of hundreds or thousands of times more product lines and inventory that are new, used or refurbished.

Many online dealers and stores have much more product information and user reviews about both the product and the dealers so you can make much more informed and complete purchasing decisions. If you are trying to find iPads for cheap this is by far the easiest and best way to go.

History of the Camera

Early cameras of the 16th and 17th century were able to project images onto paper or glass but the study of capturing, processing and printing the images took many more years. Up until the 17th century, scientists believed that light was composed basically of the 'white' that is perceived by the human eye. It took the research done by famous physicist Isaac Newton to discover that light is actually composed of a spectrum of colors. While he made a big contribution to the study of optics (that is at the core of camera advances) with this discovery, Newton did not actually have anything to do with camera development per se.

The early camera that first became a phenomenon was a little more than a pinhole camera and can be traced back to 1558. It was called the Camera Obscura. The Camera Obscura was seen as a drawing tool for a clearer and realistic portrayal of objects. It was in the early 19th century that an invention named the Camera Lucida was introduced by Cambridge scientist William Hyde Wollaston that consisted of an optical device that could help an artist view a distant scene or person or object on a paper surface that he or she was using to draw. In other words the artist gets to view a superimposed image of a subject on paper and this image could be effectively used to attempt to draw, trace or paint it. Both the Camera Obscura and the Camera Lucida provided an image that was temporary, which could not be lastingly captured on to paper for later reference.

New Electronic

Studies however continued well into the 1800's on how to actually capture the image onto material. It was during this time, around 1822 that French researcher Joseph Nicephore Niepce, created the first photograph by using paper that was coated with a chemical. The image would not stay permanently on the paper and would disappear after a short while. Even so, despite the short-lived nature of the image, the concept of photography was born with this experiment and paved the way for further study and development in this field.

History of the Camera

Capturing images to retain them longer and permanently became the next big quest for researchers. Another Frenchman Louis-Jacques-Mandé Daguerre partnered with Joseph Nicéphore Niépce in 1829, to develop the process of creating permanent photographs. Joseph Niépce died in 1833 but Daguerre continued with the work and succeeded in 1837 after many long years of experimentation. The process of capturing photographic images that would not fade away, introduced by Daguerre came to be known as the 'daguerreotype'.

The word 'photography' was coined by scientist Sir John F.W. Herschel in 1839 and it is actually is derived from two Greek words 'photos' meaning light and 'graphein' meaning draw.

A slightly more advanced version of the daguerreotype called the Calotype process that makes multiple copies possible using the negative and positive method became available very soon after. In fact, it was during the 1840's that the use of photographic images in advertisements first started and cameras made their mark on the power of visual communication. It was not much later, in the 1850's that photographers first started experimenting with underwater photography of seascapes.

Up until 1850, the process of capturing images was cumbersome requiring upto half an hour of light exposure. The discovery made in 1851 by Frederick Scott Archer was a blessing since the new method termed the Collodion process called for just 2-3 seconds of light exposure to capture an image.

Prior to 1871, photographers went through a development process where they had to coat the plate with wet chemical each and every time and process the image immediately. With the invention the gelatin dry plate silver bromide process by Richard Leach Maddox, negatives did not have to be developed immediately. This was an important discovery since up until then the captured image had to be processed instantly.

Kodak created in 1888 by George Eastman has been a modern day pioneer of sorts in cameras and photography for the masses. George Eastman and the scientists who worked with him at Kodak developed the photographic film in 1889 and made it available in rolls for the mass use of consumers. An important milestone in our entertainment and communication history was the development of transparent roll film by Eastman. This development led to another key invention - the motion picture camera by Thomas Edison's in 1891.

-->Modern Times

During the 20th century the pace of technology development in cameras and photography continued at an accelerated pace much like many other key technology developments. While several key inventions like car, telephone and the gramophone record happened in the later half of the 19th century, it is the last 100 years that saw major developmental work in many areas of communications technology and as well as in other fields - TV, aircrafts, PCs, digital technology, digital cameras, mobile phones, fax machines and the internet, to name a few.

In the case of the camera, the developments simplified the whole process of photography, making it accessible to one and all at affordable prices and the camera industry denizens of our times made it into a mass phenomenon. The first mass use camera became available at the turn of the 20th century and can be traced back to the year 1900. There are hundreds of models of cameras available today both for the amateur as well as the professional and the camera is an important part of any family's repertoire of must have gadgets.

-->20th century chronology in the history of the camera:

1913: 35 mm still-camera created

1927: The flash bulb introduced by General Electric Co. (The concept of camera flash existed much before but was based on the use of a flash light powder that was invented by German researchers)

1935- 1941: Kodak starts marketing Kodachrome film and subsequently launches Kodacolor negative film. Canon released the Hansa Canon in 1936, the first 35mm focal-plane shutter camera.

1948: The concept of the Polaroid camera is introduced in the market. American scientist Edwin Land developed the process for instant photography. Later Polaroid Corporation developed the 'instant color' film around 1963.

1957: Frenchman Jaques Yves Cousteau invented the first waterproof 35mm camera for underwater photography named the Calypso Phot. The actual camera was developed by the Belgian airplane technical designer Jean de Wouters based on the blueprint and suggestions given to him by Cousteau.

1972: The electronic camera that does not require film was created and patented by Texas Instruments. This is however not the same as a digital camera though you don't require film in digital cameras as well. The launch of the digital camera is still many years away.

1975: Kodak's experiments with digital imaging kicked off around the mid seventies but it will take another 20 years before a digital camera for the home consumer market is launched.

1978 - 1980: Asian players like Konica and Sony begin to make their mark. The 'point and shoot' automatic focus camera is launched by Konica while Sony starts talking about the camcorder and demonstrates a prototype.

1981: Sony launches a commercially available electronic still camera. Similar to the 1972 invention by Texas Instruments, the Sony electronic camera came with a mini disc on which images were recorded and stored. The recorded images could be later printed or viewed on a monitor using a reader device.

1985: Digital processing technology makes its entry. Digital imaging and processing is introduced by Pixar.

1986: The camera industry becomes even more consumer focused and taps the fun and travel connotations behind camera usage, with the launch of the concept of the disposable single use cameras. Fuji is credited with the development of this concept.

Also in 1986 - 1987, Kodak started taking giant strides in digital development. Digital means, the photographic image is divided into tiny units of dots or squares known as pixels. Pixels are the programmable units of an image that can be processed by computers. Each image could be made up of millions of pixels. The use of pixels in digital technology allows storing large volumes of pixels to deliver high definition print quality.

1990: Kodak introduces Photo CD's. It is a system of storing photographic images on CD and then viewing them on a computer. With this development the user-friendly approach of the camera industry began to take concrete shape.

1991: Kodak introduces a digital camera targeted at professionals and journalists. Kodak is credited with the invention of a pixel based camera technology known to us as the digital camera. Digital cameras don't use film similar to their predecessor electronic cameras but the storage method is entirely different and the final photograph is of much higher resolution. In a digital camera photos are recorded and stored in digital form. This digital data can be transferred to a computer and processed for printing. Kodak and Canon are well known digital camera manufacturers and there are also several other key brands as well.

1994: The Apple QuickTake camera, a home use digital camera is launched. This is followed by the launch of a clutch of home use digital cameras by Casio, Kodak and others in quick succession during 1995 -'96.

-->The digital era:

The development of digital camera technology is considered to be linked to the development of TV and Video technology. The principles of transmission and recording of audio-visual images using digital electrical impulses finds use in camera imaging as well.

Through the 1990's the developments continued in camera technology, the focus now shifting to the field of digital imaging which is where the future lies. Use-friendly features like software that can download digital images directly from camera onto home computers for storing and sharing on the internet is the new norm in the market place.

The camera, the computer, the software industry and the worldwide web are today irrevocably interlinked to empower the user in experiencing the benefits of camera usage to full potential. The innovation that sparked many an invention in the camera industry found its way into the digital world as well and continued among digital camera manufacturers. During 2001, the Kodak and Microsoft partnership ensured that digital camera manufacturers could use the power of Picture Transfer Protocol (PTP) standard through Windows. The digital photo experience is a key visual driver in the Internet era. Many of Kodak digital camera models with EasyShare capabilities are compatible with Windows XP. The Kodak EasyShare software enables users to transfer digital camera pictures directly from camera to their computers and then print the pictures or even email them.

Manufacturers in a related industry like the printing industry have adapted their products to be in sync with the images created by digital cameras. Cell phone manufacturers have tied up with digital camera manufacturers to develop new age camera phones in recent years. These camera phones can capture images and share the images through the cell phone.

Among the 21st century digital developments are the advanced product offerings from digital cameras manufacturers and these are sure to occupy an important place in the ensuing history of camera development. For instance, the Kodak Professional DCS Pro SLR/c is a high-end digital camera and the Kodak website calls the DCS Pro SLR models the most feature-rich digital cameras on the market. It has an image sensor that can handle 13.89 million pixels and this makes it the highest resolution digital camera available. High resolution determines the sharpness or level of detail in photographic images. This is just a glimpse of the capabilities that digital technology places in a user's hands. Digital camera sales figures for 2003 show that the two key players Kodak and Canon have recorded impressive growth.

-->What does the future holds for camera users?

The features offered by digital cameras can be quite mind-boggling for the average user and pretty exciting for most pros. Four key ongoing camera developments that are likely to further improve the process of photography:

1. Greater resolution from even the simplest, low cost camera models

2. Usage in any type of lighting conditions,

3. Compatibility across a range of software, hardware and image types

4. Rich colors and tone

While the higher-end digital evolution continues, the prices of the simple camera have crashed to such an extent that even children and teens are proud owners of uncomplicated cameras. The camera and photography interest starts young and this creates a truly large audience base for the camera industry.

And throughout history, it is evident that the endeavor of researchers and developers has been to make the camera available to a wide section of society. Without camera technology and photography, the other key developments of cinema and TV would have been delayed and what a boring place the world would have been without TV and films!!

Government agencies across America, like local Police, Sheriff, Highway Patrol, DEA, FBI, Border Patrol and even the IRS are seizing the property of perpetrators or criminals. Because of laws that already exist, the government has the right to then sale these items to the general public.

Police Impound Cars For Sale - How To Buy a Bargain

These auctions are real and take place almost everyday in every region of the country. In most cases, anyone can attend these auctions or if they are held online are able to bid on these items. And it's not just cars that are being seized and then auctioned. Cars, trucks, boats, motorcycles, ATV's and even airplanes are some of the vehicles you can find at a government auction.

Police Impound Cars For Sale - How Does This Work?

These auctions for seized vehicles are taking place all over the country at various places and on various schedules. There are literally hundreds of them going on every week. Of course, the government agencies that are sponsoring these auctions hope to get as much as possible for these items, but many great bargains can be found, often up to 90% off of the retail price. NPI Numbers and Legacy Numbers - New Rules As of May 23, 2008 For Billing Medical Insurance Claims

On May 23, 2008 insurance carriers were suppose to accept NPI only on all paper & electronic claims. Not only were you required to include the NPI number, but you were required to EXCLUDE the legacy numbers. Some insurance carriers were not ready for the deadline and applied for an extension (like NYS Medicaid). But Medicare was ready and if you include your PTAN (legacy) number on your claims they are being rejected.

For the insurance carriers who were ready for this deadline, you must make sure you do not have the legacy number in the shaded area of box 24J or box 32A & 33A. If your software is set up to automatically print the legacy number in this box you need to remove it. If you submit claims electronically, make sure your vendor has it set up to exclude the legacy number.

New Electronic

For the insurance carriers who were not ready and applied for an extension, you will need to continue including the legacy number until they have complied. This makes things a little messy. You need to make sure you are submitting the claims that require the legacy number with it, and the ones that do not allow it, without. Crazy, but it is what we billing people have to do to make sure the money keeps coming in.

NPI Numbers and Legacy Numbers - New Rules As of May 23, 2008 For Billing Medical Insurance Claims

Another little crazy thing to worry about is the NPI number entered in 24J. If you are set up with Medicare as an individual provider (not a group) and you only have a type I NPI, you must leave the NPI part of box 24J blank. You cannot include the individual NPI number here. If you are an individual provider and you put your NPI number in 24J, Medicare may reject your claims.

If you are a group with Medicare then you need to continue putting the rendering providers individual NPI in box 24J and the group NPI (type II) in box 33A. If you are not sure if you are an individual or a group you can tell by your PTAN number. If you only have one PTAN number then you are an individual. If you have a PTAN for the individual provider and a separate PTAN for the practice name then you are a group. Just when you thought it couldn't get much more confusing!

If you want to keep your cash flow steady it is important to make sure you are submitting the claims correctly. If you have any question as to what a particular insurance carrier requires, give them a call. Better to have it right the first time than to have to resubmit!

Solar Energy Advantages Disadvantages

Many of us know that solar energy is a good thing, but few really understand why. Therefore, I compiled a comprehensive list of solar energy advantages and disadvantages that will enable you to make an educated decision whether on not Solar Power is right for YOU.

Solar Energy Advantages

Save Order

1. Saves you money

Solar Energy Advantages Disadvantages

After the initial investment has been recovered, the energy from the sun is practically FREE. The recovery/ payback period for this investment can be very short depending on how much electricity your household uses. Financial incentives are available form the government that will reduce your cost. If your system produce more energy than you use, your utility company can buy it from you, building up a credit on your account! This is called net metering. It will save you money on your electricity bill if you have one at all. Solar energy does not require any fuel. It's not affected by the supply and demand of fuel and is therefore not subjected to the ever-increasing price of gasoline. The savings are immediate and for many years to come. The use of solar energy indirectly reduces health costs.
2. Environmentally friendly

Solar Energy is clean, renewable (unlike gas, oil and coal) and sustainable, helping to protect our environment. It does not pollute our air by releasing carbon dioxide, nitrogen oxide, sulphur dioxide or mercury into the atmosphere like many traditional forms of electrical generations does. Therefore Solar Energy does not contribute to global warming, acid rain or smog. It actively contributes to the decrease of harmful green house gas emissions. It's generated where it is needed. By not using any fuel, Solar Energy does not contribute to the cost and problems of the recovery and transportation of fuel or the storage of radioactive waste.
3. Independent/ semi-independent

Solar Energy can be utilized to offset utility-supplied energy consumption. It does not only reduce your electricity bill, but will also continue to supply your home/ business with electricity in the event of a power outage. A Solar Energy system can operate entirely independent, not requiring a connection to a power or gas grid at all. Systems can therefore be installed in remote locations (like holiday log cabins), making it more practical and cost-effective than the supply of utility electricity to a new site. The use of Solar Energy reduces our dependence on foreign and/or centralized sources of energy, influenced by natural disasters or international events and so contributes to a sustainable future. Solar Energy supports local job and wealth creation, fuelling local economies.
4. Low/ no maintenance

Solar Energy systems are virtually maintenance free and will last for decades. Once installed, there are no recurring costs. They operate silently, have no moving parts, do not release offensive smells and do not require you to add any fuel. More solar panels can easily be added in the future when your family's needs grow.
Solar Energy Disadvantages

The initial cost is the main disadvantage of installing a solar energy system, largely because of the high cost of the semi-conducting materials used in building one. The cost of solar energy is also high compared to non-renewable utility-supplied electricity. As energy shortages are becoming more common, solar energy is becoming more price-competitive. Solar panels require quite a large area for installation to achieve a good level of efficiency. The efficiency of the system also relies on the location of the sun, although this problem can be overcome with the installation of certain components. The production of solar energy is influenced by the presence of clouds or pollution in the air. Similarly, no solar energy will be produced during nighttime although a battery backup system and/or net metering will solve this problem. See http://www.dsireusa.org for details on how net metering allows you to save electricity and money. As far as solar powered cars go - their slower speed might not appeal to everyone caught up in today's rat race.

Helicopters For Sale or How to Buy a Used Helicopter at Helicopter Auctions

If you want to buy a helicopter, the internet has become a great source of information and contacts. Many manufacturers have websites describing their helicopter models in detail, and sometimes rare bargains can be found when helicopters are sold at government or police auctions.
New helicopters range from around 0,000 for a small chopper with two seats, to a larger, multi-passenger model for 0,000 and more. Used helicopters for sale vary in size, price and year. It depends on whether you are looking for a domestic or work helicopter or if you desire a used military helicopter. If you find buying a new helicopter is a bit beyond your budget, you might consider leasing one, or looking for an auctioned one. Some benefits of leasing are: enjoying benefits of ownership without a huge expenditure. However, leasing incurs significant running and insurance costs, and the helicopter technically does not belong to you.

Some of the most widespread and popular helicopters include the Robinson R22 and R44 series, or Bell and Hughes helicopters for those with a larger budget. Helicopter auctions often also feature used military and police helicopters such as the Bell UH-1. More generally, light civil helicopters can be divided into three categories:

Save Order

Light piston-engined types - if you want a cheap personal helicopter for two, the Schweizer 300 or the Robinson R22 would be your choice. They can fly at about 80-110 mph. With a minimal seating capacity and small size, these helicopters are light, easy to fly, and easy to maneuver. Surprisingly, the light piston-engined helicopters use a more expensive fuel than that of the kerosine based turbine engines but they consume less fuel. However, the Schweizer 300 or the Robinson R22 are less interesting for for charter and corporate use. They are more popular, however, for training and personal use.

Helicopters For Sale or How to Buy a Used Helicopter at Helicopter Auctions

Light turbine helicopters - McDonnell Douglas 500E, Eurocopter Squirrel and the (Agusta-) Bell Jet Ranger are widely used around the world because of their practicality, comfort, size, speed, and versatility. Their look is sporty and their performance is pretty good, however they are usually substantially more expensive than their piston-engined relatives.

Twin-engined helicopters - Stronger, safer, faster and more versatile helicopters include the likes of the Dauphin, Sikorsky S-76, Agusta 109, and Eurocopter Twin Squirrel. These are powered by 2 engines and have flight capabilities above those of single-engine helis. These are the preferred choice for the high-end market with a much higher price bracket.

Helicopters from all of these categories can be found at auctions. Helicopter (and general aircraft) auctions are typically held by the government (federal or state), the police, IRS, or sometimes also banks who seize helicopters as collateral. An auction may be a great chance to save a lot of money while getting a quality helicopter. However, there are some tricky issues and pitfalls to them as well, which one should pay attention to.

- when purchasing a helicopter at an auction, start by observing. Attend the preview (usually held a while before the auction, and open to the general public). Stay cool during the auction, and decide what you want to bid beforehand. Never get into a bidding war, it's a surefire way to buyer's remorse.

- do not be too hasty. Looking at some auctioned helicopters, you may get the feeling of a once-in-a-lifetime bargain, but in fact the market is pretty large and great opportunities are around all the time. It is best to observe a few auctions first to get a feel of the process, and only actively start bidding once you have a good idea of the market.

- beware of any too-good-to-be-true claims. At an auction, odds are they are just that - not true. Liability for a seller at a public auction is relatively low, and two powerful words - "AS IS" - basically free the seller of any responsibility. It is up to you to pinpoint them on essential statements and be wary of any outrageous promises.

- should you win the bid, insist on a written contract, and ask that all important figures and claims are mentioned (e.g. about prior owners or repairs, engine hours, or the timespan until you get the plane). Don't forget that the price you will pay is usually higher than the winning bid. Most auctions include a 5-10% buyer's premium.

Fifth-Wheel or Bumper Pull?

For many RV'ers, this question is a burning issue. For others, it isn't even on the horizon. It all depends on what kind of RV you're in and what you'd like to move into.

For example, I've been towing travel trailers for several years. What is my next RV going to be? I'm planning to get a fifth-wheel toy hauler. Why? I want the toy hauler for the flexibility in the ways I can use it. I want the fifth-wheel version because of the floor plans which are not available in the bumper pulls. But, that's just me. This article is about what you want.

Save Order

By the way, the descriptive terms you'll hear can be confusing. A fifth-wheel is a fifth-wheel. That's what people call it. On the other hand, there isn't one standardized term for the others. You'll hear people refer to them as, "travel trailers," "bumper pulls," "tow-types" or a few other terms. For the sake of this article, I'll use the term, "bumper pull" because it best describes the hitch location.

Fifth-Wheel or Bumper Pull?

Now that we understand the terms, let's look at the basic differences between the two. The most obvious difference is where the trailer is hooked up to the tow vehicle. The hitch for the bumper pull is, of course, located at or near the rear bumper of the tow vehicle. The fifth-wheel hitch is located in the truck bed over the rear axle.

The first thing that becomes apparent is that you won't be using a car to tow a fifth-wheel trailer. The location of that hitch requires a truck. The bumper pull trailer can be towed by either a car or a truck.

There's another factor about the fifth-wheel trailer that requires that a truck be used as a tow vehicle. The design of the fifth-wheel frame is such that it tends to be heavier than that required for a bumper pull trailer. That additional weight needs the strength only a truck can provide.

So, why do people choose one over the other? One reason is the size of the unit. The longer a trailer is, the more likely it is to be designed as a fifth-wheel. The smaller it is, the more likely it is to be a bumper pull design.

The main issue here is the stability of the trailer when it's being towed. The pivot point (the hitch) of a bumper pull trailer is a few feet behind the axle of the tow vehicle. This can cause the trailer to exert leverage on the truck. The longer units need a good anti-sway hitch to keep the truck and trailer under control if you're hit with side winds.

The pivot point for the fifth-wheel hitch is over the axle of the truck. There's no way the trailer can exert leverage on the truck if a gust of wind hits it. That is the main reason why the longer trailers tend to be fifth-wheel units.

Another factor in the choice is the cost. The fifth-wheel units tend to be more expensive than a bumper pull trailer of the same size. That's why most of the smaller, less-expensive units are bumper pull's. They're lighter and less expensive to produce.

There's a huge difference in the amount of living space you get for every foot of space the trailer takes up on the road or in the camp ground. A bumper pull trailer that is 30 feet long will give you about 25-26 feet of living space. The rest of the length is the tongue sticking out in front of the trailer. As for overall length of the truck and trailer, that whole 30 feet is added to the length of the truck.

A fifth-wheel uses the length more efficiently. A 30-foot fifth-wheel will, in most cases, give you about 30 feet of living space. Because the hitch is over the rear axle of the truck, the amount of trailer hanging out behind the truck will be more like 24-25 feet. The combined length of the truck and trailer will be 8-10 feet shorter for the same amount of living space.

Most of the fifth-wheel trailers require at least a 3/4-ton truck as a tow vehicle. Most of the bumper pull's can be handled safely by a 1/2-ton truck. The main reason for that is the amount of weight placed on the hitch.

Most of the bumper pull trailers are designed to put about 10% of the total weight on the hitch ball. Putting that much weight on a hitch 3-4 feet behind the axle works as a lever to lift the front of the truck. A good weight equalization hitch becomes extremely important as the size of the trailer moves into the medium or large sizes.

The fifth-wheel trailer is designed to put about 15% of the total weight onto the hitch pin which is over the truck axle. That amount of weight, by itself, requires a heavier-duty truck.

So, where does that leave you? If you already have a 3/4-ton truck or larger, your choices are pretty wide open. It comes down to which floor plan and price range work best for you.

If, on the other hand, you have a car or a small pickup truck, you're pretty much limited to a smaller bumper pull trailer. Most of the cars and small pickups are limited to trailers weighing 3,500 pounds or less. Trailers that light aren't going to offer a lot in the way of creature comforts. At the same time, they do offer an inexpensive entry point into the wonderful world of RV travel.

It all comes down to where you are and where you want to be in the grand scheme of things. The tow vehicle will dictate the size and style of trailer you are able to safely pull. If you want to pull something bigger, you'll need to upgrade your tow vehicle.

The other main factor is, of course, your budget. It's true that you can save a lot of money on your vacation travel if you travel light with a tent or, even, a pop-up tent trailer. Because hotel and restaurant costs can add up pretty fast, camping can be a real bargain.

However, there comes a point where you're no longer camping to save money. You're camping because you really enjoy the RV lifestyle. Let's face it, a new 3/4-ton truck with a matching fifth-wheel trailer can easily approach ,000 - 0,000! You can't camp enough to save that much money!

So, as for the question of fifth-wheel vs. bumper pull, the bottom line is this: how much are you willing to spend? Most of the bumper pull units are at the low end to the mid-point of the scale. Most of the fifth-wheel units will start from the mid-point and range up through the high end of that same scale.

Where are you and where do you want to be?

Fifth-Wheel or Bumper Pull?

Ed Hill was introduced to "camping" by the US Army nearly half a century ago. Since then, he has traveled across most of the United States and parts of Europe using a variety of tents and RV's. Ed is now sharing that love of RV travel in his blog, [http://www.EnjoyRVTravel.com]
